One Thriving Trend on the Job Market - Work at Home

If you're still searching for work, you may know how frustrating it is to secure one and how limited the job opportunities there are. Whatever you need to know is that if you're having trouble securing a job or making ends meet, then you have a chance to change the course of your life now.

You can use the skills gained become a service provider for those that need you. You can start your online business- setting up your website and/or profile, marketing to get the word out and handling payments - right from the comfort and security of your home.

What kind of service should you provide? It depends on your skills and experiences. Do you have experience with data entry? That's a service you can provide for others from your home while you used to do that in a corporate setting..

You can seek the opportunities to become a virtual assistant, and it means someone who offers clients the same help and professionalism an actual office assistant would give. Not to mention there's a wide open market for courteous, professional virtual assistants in all lines of work. If you want to be a virtual assistant paid by hours, check odesk.com and become an active part of it.

For more tips and to interact with other odesk members, go to their Facebook group and start participating!

For your clients, you are a personal secretary or office manager for them. People who work as a virtual assistant either work on a pre-arranged time span or depending on the contract agreement,

If you're good at writing, web design or graphic work, why not do all of those jobs right from home as a freelancer? That means you get to work at your own schedules for your own wages. While you build your client list, your reputation will grow and the amount of income you earn can rise as well with more positive reviews you get.

If you are interested in become a writer or ghost/writer, you can start by register at iWriter.
I would love to point out that in iWriter, you choose your topic to write but not appointed, but of course you need to come up with writing samples to process the procedure of getting accepted. In this case, iWriter is rather newbie friendly than Fiverr or ohter micro-job sites.

Another method you can adopt is to work  as a project management specialist. For project management, you need to be capable of handling the requirements and due dates needed to progress a project accordingly.

I don't encourage someone without sufficient knowledge in a corporate setting to try this method because there is no way for you to handle the resources and persons involved. For example, you need the knowledge of  how much labor  required and how many people would be needed to work on that project. You would need to have the resources in place to begin and finish the project. You would need to master the tools required and the approximate cost to get the job done.

If you are an experienced project manager or co-ordinator with years of tracking history, or you are qualified with recognized license on Project Management, I encourage you to brand yourself as a local expert in handling projects in a specific category, or area and gradually build up your reputation offline and online. It's not hard to find cases online, but usually you are ripped off, unless you have a sales funnel to profit your at the back end. Being a local expert, you can still handle daily businesses at home or around home, and you will cope with emergencies better than someone who can only offer a "virtual" hand.

Whether or not working from home is the career move for you, you need to sharpen out your skills and come up with a plan of action to launch your own business. If you are not yet for yours, and want to take the local service route like I mentioned, I encourage you to drive around your neighborhood and observe for yourself if there are any thing you can do to help the stores or companies in your local community? What problems you are facing yourselves and you can do to solve the problems for people in similar situation? And don't forget to invest in yourself, successful entrepreneurs are learned, not born.
